Government of Nepal Suspends On-Arrival Visa

On March 12, 2020, the Government of Nepal, in an attempt to control the coronavirus outbreak, has made a decision to suspend on-arrival visa for all foreign nationals and non-resident Nepali ("NRN") till April 30, 2020 effective from March 14, 2020. A foreign national who has already obtained visa prior to issuance of this notice shall not be prevented from entering into Nepal provided that such person submits a certificate of Swab test PCR issued within 7 days before the date of arrival at the immigration point. A foreign national or NRN having a compelling reason to travel to Nepal, may file an application at the Nepali diplomatic mission abroad along with a certificate of Swab test PCR issued within last 7 days.

Further, a person entering into Nepal from March 14, 2020 is required to stay in a self-quarantine for 14 days.
