Notice on Further Suspension of Court Services

The Supreme Court of Nepal ("Supreme Court"), vide a Press Release dated April 3, 2020, made a decision to further extend the ongoing suspension of Court services till April 10, 2020. In view of the current COVID-19 pandemic, Supreme Court had initially suspended the Court services till April 3, 2020. The decision of the Supreme Court came after the Government of Nepal extended the countrywide lockdown till April 7, 2020. As a result of the Press Release, services provided by the Court, except for hearing on matter pertaining to individual liberty and other essential matter, shall remain suspended until April 10, 2020. Matters whose limitation period expires or hearing date falls within this period shall be provided an additional time of ten days after the services have resumed norma.
