Ratification of the Montreal Convention 1999 by the House of Representatives
On August 23, 2018, the Parliament ratified the proposal to accede to the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air 1999 ("Montreal Convention"), by a unanimous vote. The Government of Nepal ("GON") is currently in the process of depositing the acceded instrument to the International Civil Aviation Organization ("ICAO"). The Montreal Convention will come into force on the sixtieth day of deposit of the acceded instrument to the ICAO.
